The University Academic ID Card Office is open by appointment only.  The Academic ID Office is located in the Observatory Hill Dining Hall at 525 McCormick Road.  Parking is available using the ParkMobile app.  The Academic ID Card Information navigates the online photo submission,  application form and scheduling of an appointment. 

Need a UVA Health ID?   Select Here UVA Medical Center, University Physicians Group, School of Medicine, and School of Nursing employees/students.  Additionally, other Academic departmental employees, including Student Health, Police, Security, Facilities Management and select others may also require a UVA Health ID.

Need a First-time UVA Academic ID?  Upload your Photo Here Log in and upload your passport-style photo.  A confirmation email is sent to your UVA email account upon review and approval of the photo.

Spring 2023 - New Student Arrivals

• Living on-Grounds:  Students obtain their Academic ID directly from the Academic ID Office as guided by Housing and Residence Life Move-In communications. 
• Living off-Grounds:  Transfer student IDs - students receive their IDs directly from the Academic ID Office.
• Graduate student IDs will largely be distributed by the school of enrollment.  Look for communications from your school/program to confirm where to retrieve your Academic ID.
